Well, Apple released a beta of Safari 3.0 and so I decided to try it out. I had almost forgotten why I switched to Firefox until I was doing this post. Safari’s javascript was not up to par to work properly with wordpress, so I had to switch to a browser that was. Now, wordpress is hardwired to disable features on Safari, so I had to make it lie and claim it was Firefox in order to test them. Seems to work just fine.
There is, however, a more serious measure in my mind. That is ad blocking. Firefox has a really nice ad blocker which works great for me. There is no equivalent for Safari. Yes, I am aware of Pith Helmet, but frankly, it is nowhere near as good (and doesn’t work with the new beta yet). Oh well, guess I’ll keep with Firefox until there is something better on Safari (Yes, I hate ads that much. Nothing is more annoying that these stupid little boxes which make odd movements and idiotic sounds in an attempt to get your attention for something you never cared about in the first place).
